#Coffee and #health
saradina-info-blog on 21.01.2021 um 13:33 (UTC) |
| Time and again it is reported by different media that drinking coffee is very healthy and also prevents many diseases.
Among the diseases that coffee consumption is said to have a positive effect are sometimes very serious diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and coffee is also said to have a good effect on the liver metabolism.
These reports are spread over and over again at different intervals, it almost looks like an advertising campaign.
One wonders what is really true about the miraculous effect of coffee.
The effects of coffee on the diseases described above cannot be too great.
There are many nations around the world of enthusiastic coffee drinkers who like to drink coffee often and often from a young age.
But despite the large amount of coffee consumed, all these avid coffee drinkers are confronted with the diseases mentioned above. According to the constant media reports, it should be completely different.
Whatever the case with coffee, after all, it is really a pleasant aromatic drink with a slightly euphoric effect, one must not forget in any of these wonderful reports that coffee is one thing above all from the perspective of corporations. A huge global business.

Have #aliens ever #visited Earth? #ufo
saradina-info-blog on 10.01.2021 um 14:07 (UTC) |
| Time and again, people from different sides ponder whether extraterrestrials have ever visited Earth.
Some people even believe that aliens left artifacts on Earth.
But how likely are these assumptions?
When we speak of "extraterrestrial intelligence" we always mean an extraterrestrial species with excellent technological knowledge.
Unfortunately, the aspect of intelligence is limited to "technical intelligence". That means intelligent beings who might like to play music and dance, but are not gifted or interested in natural science, drop out of the term "intelligent".
But even technically gifted beings are faced with the challenge of the seemingly endless distances in space.
The realistic chance that a representative of a foreign species would have landed on our planet in person is rather small for technical reasons alone.
In the event that a strange, scientifically highly educated species would be interested in our planet, the species would probably first inform about our planet and our species by means of well camouflaged or hidden space probes. But this probe would also be on the move for a long time and would represent more of a purely academic exploration.
In addition, whether we would be interesting enough to make further contact at all. After all, the universe is very large and there are an unbelievable number of planets on which interesting beings could also live, with whom a technically very experienced species could make contact.
Since our solar system is very much on the edge of the Milky Way, it is more likely that a curious, technically highly educated species is more likely to look around in its astronomical neighborhood, where it is also realistic in space-time to make concrete contact. And if this technically highly gifted species is now looking for minerals, uninhabited planets in the vicinity are also sufficient.
And to satisfy curiosity about our planet, a well-camouflaged space probe is sufficient, which will send its results back to the alien species in a few hundred years ...

Drinking #water and #land through polar ice caps #melt?
saradina-info-blog on 10.01.2021 um 13:40 (UTC) |
| Climate change creates very different problems. One of these problems is polar ice cap melting. As a result of the melting of the polar ice caps, a great deal of water enters the sea and the sea level rises. This can cause multiple islands and coastal areas to be flooded.
The water that melts from the polar ice caps is fresh water. The quantities involved are very large.
It would be a great opportunity for mankind if the water that is currently melting can be collected and used as drinking water. This water could be distributed to humanity.
On the other hand, the melting of the polar ice caps frees up large masses of land that could perhaps be colonized.
Of course, you have to pay attention to nature, animals and plants with the new uses that climate change offers. You have to think about good and usable reserves and practice good solutions promptly. Perhaps some animal species are also more biologically adaptable than expected.
Even with all the efforts made by mankind, it is not clear whether climate change can be stopped, but perhaps it is not bad to deal with the practical uses of such climate change.

#Inclusive #education - real chance or deceptive hope
saradina-info-blog on 08.12.2020 um 09:20 (UTC) |
| Education is a valuable asset and should benefit as many people as possible in the same quality.
Sadly, however, the performance of the students often varies widely.
In order to improve this situation, various measures have been taken again and again, including general changes in the educational environment (such as teaching in special schools) or various new approaches to education. But the problem persisted.
The latest craze that should finally solve this problem is the "inclusive school".
In this type of school, all students are taught in the same classes, regardless of their different requirements. This is intended to give all students the "same opportunity". When one comes to talk about the different requirements of the students, it is said that the lessons are "differentiated" and that virtually every student in the class receives lessons tailored to him (that is, different and according to his or her ability).
All leading forces, especially those without practical pedagogical experience, are enthusiastic and want to establish this school as the “school of the future” across the board.
But can “inclusion” (all students sit in the same classroom) solve the problem of different requirements? And do all students really have the same chance after completing an “inclusive school”?
The intention of the “inclusive school” is certainly very good. But from a practical educational point of view, it is more of a pretty fairy tale, also from the perspective of the students concerned.
The weaker students experience every day that the more capable students master the more difficult tasks, constantly overtaking them. The stronger students will in the long run perceive the weaker students as very likeable but also as weaker. Kind pity, nothing more.
So there is not much more left of the good idea than a beautiful appearance.
It would be better to stick to the form of the special school, to work on clearer and better pedagogy and simply to give the students more time for the same content. In retrospect, it doesn't matter if a good graduate is two years older. These two years level out effortlessly in the course of life and so there can be better equality of opportunity from the perspective of those affected, namely the students.

#Journeys into the #universe
saradina-info-blog on 26.11.2020 um 13:53 (UTC) |
| Traveling in the universe is a great goal of humanity. So far, however, there have been major technical obstacles. In addition to a strong and fast propulsion system and stable spaceships, there is the problem that the distances in space are immense.
Although there are more and more interesting planets that are probably similar to Earth, these planets are simply too far for the current technological possibilities of space travel.
Space travel to this planet would take many decades, and that is too much of a challenge.
On the other hand, it is very difficult to build spaceships that are fast enough.
Therefore it would be interesting to build spaceships based on biological measures in addition to the technical possibilities. So it would be completely different if the inhabitants of a tech-savvy civilization lived 200 years, for example, and if they had 150 healthy years of life from those 200 years. Then 20 years of space travel would not be a problem for these creatures and they would have a great advantage in space travel over short-lived species like humanity, simply because of their long lifespan.
Therefore, in addition to purely technical research, a stable and healthy life expectancy for mankind should also be ensured. Otherwise, this will not happen in space travel to other parts of the universe.
