I can't walk #alone! The sufferings of Mrs. XY. #psychology
saradina-info-blog on 08.01.2022 um 14:39 (UTC)
 Imagine an older sprightly lady.
She loves exercise and fresh air. She loves walks. Since she is a pensioner, she has enough time and opportunity for this beautiful hobby. You would think. Because in reality the se dame - let's call her mrs. XY - sits in a self-made conditional prison. The bars of this prison consist of the iron condition that the good woman can only go for a walk if someone else comes along.
1. The lady must find an accompaniment for her walks, where there is a mutual sympathy. If she can't find such a companion, Mrs. XY can't go for a walk.
2. The acquaintance must also have enough interest in walking, because if the nice acquaintance prefers to crochet potholders, read books or watch tv instead of going for a walk, mrs. XY can not go for a walk.
3. The nice acquaintance must be sufficiently healthy to be able to go for a walk. If the lady is too sick to go for a walk, mrs. XY can not go for a walk.
4. But even if the factors of mutual sympathy, interest in the walk and sufficient health are given, the schedule must also be right. Because if the walk acquaintance does not have time, mrs. XY can not go for a walk.
5. Last but not least, the idea of where and how long to walk must match. If the walk accompanies routes through cozy streets and squares while mrs. XY prefers to go over free fields and favors a different time frame and no intersection is found, then mrs. XY can not go for a walk.

Going for a walk could be so easy. Put on a warm jacket, close the door behind you, go for a walk as you wish!

Fairy #tales, #dragons, #dinosaurs #paleontology
saradina-info-blog on 08.01.2022 um 14:28 (UTC)
In old fairy tales and legends, dragon beings and humans are repeatedly reported as opponents.
Dragons are usually very large and dangerous and they usually appear as individuals in an area to spread terror there.
They are usually described as beings with scaly skin, horns, and dangerous teeth. Some dragons have wings and can fly. Some dragons are in a river. Dragons can stay on land, in the water and in the air.
Spontaneously, one would conclude with this description on different dinosaur types. However, in the time when these fairy tales and legends were invented, there were no dinosaurs on Earth, according to popular belief.

But how could the authors of these fairy tales and legends invent such creatures?
The simplest answer is: with the help of imagination.

But how plausible is it that humans invent objects or living beings with which they have no experience?

Sure, it has produced human imagination many creative creations, including many fascinating beings that have not appeared in nature and in the everyday life of descriptive people.
Examples of such beings are the centaurs, which are composed of human and horse-like figures. Or Pegasus, the horse with wings or Zerberus, the dog with the three heads.

But with all these figures, there are natural examples that were known to contemporary authors. They knew horses and people and you could connect them creatively. They knew horses and the wings of birds and could invent a creature from them with the power of imagination.
The rare situation in which animal babies with several heads were born due to mutation or a disease during pregnancy in animals were also known. It was very rare and inexplicable for the contemporaries of the time, who invented mythical figures, but they were concretely observed phenomena.

This is not the case with mythical figures such as dragons, which are reminiscent of dinosaurs. At the time when myths with the theme "dragons" were invented, there were no real role models.

What could have inspired the imagination in the creation of dragon figures?
On the one hand, reptiles could have inspired like snakes, on the other hand, one had contact with egyptian culture and so crocodiles could have been taken as examples.

Nevertheless, there is a great distance between the dragons from the legends and biological crocodiles and snakes.
Perhaps the mythical figures of the dragons are based on much older traditions, where perhaps humans once came into contact with dinosaur-like beings.
Perhaps dinosaur-like creatures have lasted at least longer in oceans than current evidence suggests.
Nothing comes from nothing and the very detailed descriptions in legends and myths of dragons in many parts of the world may have a real background that we do not yet know today.

Benefits of #climate-change
saradina-info-blog on 15.12.2021 um 13:11 (UTC)
In most depictions, climate change is presented exclusively negatively.
But on closer inspection, there are also interesting advantages.
In colder regions, winter is milder. When it's less cold, people need to heat less. Less heating means lower heating costs.

Another effect is that when people heat less, fewer resources – including fossil fuels and electricity – are consumed. Thus, global warming promotes a more climate-friendly behavior of people.
The same goes for brighter days with more sunshine.

When more sunlight and daylight is available, you need less lamp light. If less electric light is consumed, this is good for the environment and, just like the lower heating consumption, conserves natural resources and is therefore good for the environment.

If you look at climate change from this perspective, new opportunities arise.

#Rebirth in #animals?
saradina-info-blog on 12.12.2021 um 15:01 (UTC)
Reincarnation is a worldwide widespread topic that plays a major role in many religions.
In the West, reincarnation or rebirth is referred exclusively to people.
There are also examples in the eastern region where animals can also play a role in reincarnation or rebirth.
Animals share many biological characteristics with humans and, just like them, are also individuals.
For example, there are also examples of experience in the western world where owners of pets suspect that it could be the reincarnation of another animal that has already died.

In one specific case, a child owned a dog for a very short time, to which he was very attached. Also the dog loved this child very much. Unfortunately, the dog was very quickly returned to an animal shelter by the parents. It was a very sad farewell and the child never forgot the dog.

The dog had a special feature. He had previously jumped through a fence and had injured an ear so much that the ear had a crack that could not go away.
The dog had a special feature. He had previously jumped through a fence and had injured an ear so much that the ear had a crack that could not go away. The second feature was that this dog was specifically only attached to the child and was not so interested in other people.

An argument of the parents who had given the dog to the shelter against the will of the child was that dog keeping was expensive and the dog would one day become very large and eat a lot. (However, the parents as adults should have considered this before purchasing the animal).

The child, who had no say - neither in the acquisition nor in the abolition of the dog - and who now stood before the rubble of parental misconduct, now said something very interesting:
"I will get the dog out of the shelter one day, but then he will be a light brown cat. Then he will not cost a dog tax and will not eat much. I'm also rid of my parents and can decide for myself and no one can separate us anymore."

When the parents heard these words, they became angry and scolded the child. They said it should stop the nonsense, that would be nonsense.

Many decades later, the unimaginable happened. The now adult went with her spouse to an animal shelter to get a cat. Of course, these words had long been pushed into the subconscious, just children's stuff.
When the couple arrived at the shelter, they opted for a brown cat, although they had initially favored a black cat. The brown cat was immediately enthusiastic and especially greeted the person who had lost the dog as a child.

Once home, it turned out that the cat had a torn ear, just like the lost dog. And just like this dog, the cat preferred the person who lost the dog as a child. On the other hand, the spouse was also very friendly and attentive and so a good stable relationship has developed between the brown cat with the torn ear and the spouse. And so everything has come to a good end.

#Psychology - an underestimated topic #ufos
saradina-info-blog on 15.11.2021 um 14:30 (UTC)
Meanwhile, there are more and more people - even in official positions - who are seriously dealing with the phenomenon of "UFO".
All possible aspects are discussed, e.g. what could motivate extraterrestrial intelligences to visit Earth. This leads to arguments concerning the procurement of resources.
But especially the topic of "resources" should be of little interest to extraterrestrials as a motive for a visit to Earth, because no matter what elements, gases, solids or whatever are involved, these things can be found on the many uninhabited interstellar objects in space. So it is absolutely not necessary for aliens to visit an inhabited planet to find these resources.
The enslavement of humanity should also not be an interesting topic for extraterrestrials. Because technically highly intelligent creatures that will master interstellar space travel will have excellent machines to solve their own problems.
What remains are social or psychological motives. And it is precisely the assessment of these motives that is extremely difficult. So it is already complicated to put oneself in the cultural and psychological motives and sensitivities of people all over the globe.
If aliens have ever approached Earth systematically, what could drive them to behave?

  • Religious views of an alien space-driving species?

  • Pure joy in observing a technically inferior species like humanity?

  • Any interstellar political observation target?

  • Biological interest?

  • Any extraterrestrial-cultural or extraterrestrial-ideological interest that we can't imagine?

Extraterrestrial technically gifted species may seem very alien to u s in theoretically possible contact - and not only for biological reasons. Above all, it will be the unimaginable mentality with unimaginable motives for us that separates us from theoretically possible extraterrestrial visitors.
