ButterGeuze - a nickname for #Betelgeuse
saradina-info-blog on 11.10.2021 um 19:44 (UTC) |
| If you look at the sky at night and discover all the splendour of the stars, then this sight awakens harmonious feelings.
You don't think at this moment that all these radiant pinheads are actually huge fireballs based on atomic reactions...
A particularly striking object in the night sky is Betelgeuse, a star that was worried about just a few months ago.
Betelgeuse is characterized by its warm glow, unlike many other beautiful stars. Betelgeuse has a mild hue between rich yellow and soft orange. The shade is somehow reminiscent of the color of fresh butter.
This lovely shade has given me the idea to give the beautiful star Betelgeuse the nickname ButterGeuze. If you want to know more about Betelgeuse, you can find out more here .

| Yes, it works.
- It is one of the tasks of research
- to investigate even the most impossible things and questions that a person can imagine.

#Arable land #nutrition

| There are countries where there is far too much land for densely packed housing, but arable land is important to feed the population more independently of imports.
You have to find ways to distribute housing more skillfully, to get more useful arable land.

Modern #nuclear power plants as #energy suppliers?
saradina-info-blog on 04.10.2021 um 14:16 (UTC) |
| The energy demand of the world's population is increasing, but on the other hand, there is climate change, which may be related to increased CO2 emissions.
Therefore, new energy systems are needed that deliver reliable, stable and cost-effective energy. Wind energy and solar energy are too dependent on the weather.
In addition, wind turbines generate infrasound, which may be unhealthy, and the rotating wind turbine blades become a danger to birds and insects.
Solar power plants are also not particularly economical, since even modern plants have a maximum yield of 25 percent that is, 75percent of the energy is not achieved.
In addition, the solar collectors contain heavy metals such as cadmium, which is harmful to health. These heavy metals are also often extracted through child labor, which is unethical.
Recently, however, a new alternative for energy production seems to be emerging: modern nuclear power plants. These modern models offer several advantages over the old previous models:
- More cost-effective due to a lower uranium requirement.
- Improved conditions due to standardized and modularized design.
- Improved safety technology.
- Improved protection against external influences such as earthquakes or plane crashes.

Can #humans be available #indefinitely as an #object of #research? #health #philosophy

| Medical research should always be in the service and for the benefit of people. But there are areas of research where one can be in doubt about the benefits and appreciation of people.
For example, lucid dreams are researched using a drug. The big problem with exploring lucid dreams was that you couldn't just "evoke" those dreams.
However, modern research needs repeated opportunities on demand to be able to observe a phenomenon in a meaningful way. Now it has been shown that with a drug that acts on the central nervous system, lucid dreams can be evoked in people "on order", so to speak.
While this is impressive, how desirable is it for scientists - and in the wake of scientists any businessmen or rulers - to be able to pursue people in their most intimate refuge, dreams?
